About Pat Hiden

A Birmingham native, Pat Hiden, ASID, opened Pat Hiden Interiors, LLC in 1987. Currently located in Mountain Brook Village, Pat focuses on classic residential interiors punctuated with current influences.. Pat’s clients range from young couples starting their collections to those more seasoned where she uses a curatorial eye to help showcase their favorite pieces. Her philosophy is that beautiful interiors must be both timeless in their beauty and functional for the entire family… including pets! Instead of focusing on trends, Pat focuses on creating classic interiors that never go out of style.

Seemingly destined for the profession from a young age, her mother often recounts that Pat would more likely be drawing floorplans for her doll’s houses than playing with dolls themselves! Pat continued to practice her love of decorating as a student at the University of Alabama in the 1980s. After graduating with a degree in Interior Design, she trained with several notable designers including Emily Neal, Lynn Hawkins, Ruby Ansley, and Angi Proctor. Pat is accredited by the National Council of Interior Design Qualifications (NCIDQ) and is a Professional member of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID)

In her career, Pat has decorated homes in Birmingham, Jasper, Tuscaloosa, Perdido Key, Navarre Beach, Ono Island, and lake houses at Lake Martin, Echo Lake, and Pumpkin Hollow Lake. Her work has been featured in Birmingham Home and Gardens, Victoria, Celebrate, and Over the Mountain Journal. Pat has been a tastemaker at Antiques at the Gardens in Birmingham where she held an enjoyable presence alongside Hank Long of Henry Sprott Long and Associates.

What sets her apart in the world of interior design is Pat’s ability to combine a mix of antiques and contemporary pieces to form a livable and elegant aesthetic.  She understands that no two clients are the same and relishes the opportunity to craft spaces that resonate with their vision. Her high-end residential interior design services are tailored to her client’s specific needs and desires, ensuring that every detail is in perfect harmony with their tastes. Pat considers it a privilege to use her longstanding passion for design to help turn visions into realities and create elegant, livable spaces that inspire, comfort, and delight for years to come.
